Where is your studio?
I am in Driffield Health Hub, YO25 6PN. There is free parking onsite and when you arrive for your appointment, head in and ask at reception and they'll show you where to go!
What days do you tattoo?
I tattoo Mondays, Tuesdays, some Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am until around 3pm, though I can accommodate slightly later appointments on Fridays.
Do you do walk-ins?
I tattoo by appointment only and you can find details on how to book in with me via the Contact page.
Can I come and chat about my ideas?
I offer free consultations to discuss your ideas and enable you to check out where you'll be getting tattooed. I always arrange these outside of tattoo appointments so that my attention isn't elsewhere so I don't just let people drop in for a chat any time like some may have been used to when I worked in Bridlington. Message me via any links on my contact page to book a free consultation.
Is your studio accessible?
It sure is. There are disabled parking bays right outside, no steps/stairs and an accessible toilet. I am more than happy to provide quiet sessions if preferred too so please let me know if that's something you need.
What are your rates?
I charge £90 per hour or £400 for a 5 hour day session and my minimum charge is £50.
Can I pay by card?
I accept payment via bank transfer or cash. I use Monzo for bank transfers which can also accept credit card payments which I charge an additional 2% fee for. Cash isn't necessarily preferred but is always appreciated.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes - appointments are only confirmed with a non-refundable deposit paid via bank transfer or cash. Deposits both secure your appointment and also cover the time I spend designing your tattoo. Full deposit terms can be found under the About header in the main navigation bar.
How long is a day session?
My day sessions are from 9am - 2:30pm. In the interest of transparency, I try to get as close to 5 hours actual tattooing time and allow around half an hour for breaks.
Can I split a day with someone else?
Day rates only apply to one client so you'd be charged hourly instead but I'm more than happy to get you and a friend in on the same day for 2.5-3 hours each, yes.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
Life happens - I get it. I'm more than happy to reschedule tattoos but if you reschedule within 7 days of your appointment, I will need a new deposit to secure another date. You can read more about my deposit/rescheduling policy under the About tab.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
Yes, of course you can. I have space for somebody to sit with you and my only restriction is that they must be 18+ for insurance reasons
Can I use numbing cream?
Please do not purchase numbing cream without contacting me about it first. I prefer that clients try and get an area tattooed without numbing agents but if you absolutely must for whatever reason, I will recommend some to you. If you arrive with numbing cream on that I haven't approved or have had an adverse reaction, I may be unable to do your tattoo and you will lose your deposit.
Do you use vegan ink?
All of the products I use throughout the tattoo process, including inks, are 100% vegan friendly.
Do you chat whilst you tattoo?
Yeah, I'm really chatty and more than happy to talk about pretty much anything so don't worry that you'll be sat in uncomfortable silence with me! Of course, if you'd rather have a quiet session then please let me know beforehand so I know to keep it to a minimum.
What style of tattoos do you do?
I'm comfortable tattooing in pretty much any style really! I've been doing this for over a decade now and working in a walk-in studio for 7 years meant I learned most styles. I've never really settled into a specialisation as I enjoy most styles of tattoo. If there's a style you like but you don't see in my portfolio, feel free to ask if it's something I can do and if not, I'll recommend you the best person for the job!
Are there any tattoos you won't do?
Yes, for various reasons. If it's a tattoo I'm just not keen on doing because I don't feel it's within my skillset then I'll direct you to someone that'll do a great job of it. If it's something like Nazi symbols or Andrew Tate portraits, have a word with yourself. I'm also not insure to tattoo genitals or between eyes.
Do you do small tattoos?
Although my portfolio mostly shows larger pieces, I am more than happy to do that name on your wrist or dot on your finger too so please get in touch!
Will you do a tattoo with ashes in?
Whilst I appreciate the sentiment behind having a passed love one with you permanently, this is not something I either do nor recommend anybody else does for two main reasons: You should not be introducing unsanitary materials to your tattoo (the heat of cremation does not sterilise ashes) and also, they don't dissolve in the ink so would realistically just be stuck to everything but the actual needles. You can get lovely jewellery made from ashes so I recommend that instead.
